2018 Summer Camp Descriptions and Information
Background: Art is the touchstone of our summer camps at Manchester Arts Studio. Our programs provide kids with the chance to explore the world of art and develop their own creativity through a wide range of activities. Campers work with professional artists to produce unique and original works of arts, explore diverse themes, focus on the creative process and develop their imagination and creativity. Based on our belief that art is a great way to learn about other disciplines, instructors also incorporate activities and background information about the weekly theme to integrate science, math, and history knowledge. A day of camp includes 3 - 4 art projects or activities, plenty of outdoor activity or play time, water play, two snack times and a lunch break. This combination of activities, as well as our great instructors and small camp size, gives campers an incomparable art making experience that is active, stimulating and tons of fun. This year we are offering 11 weeks of camp for school aged kids which includes a Hip Hop dance camp, as well as specialty camps in Ceramics and Sewing/Fashion Design. For the first time, we are also offering 4 weeks of camps for preschool kids ages 3+ .
