It is time for Manchester Arts first Virtual Painting Party! We will be painting this cute bunny on Saturday afternoon, April 11, at 3:00 pm.
We are trying to make this party available to the most people no matter what your circumstances during this difficult time. It’s really all about being together and having some creative fun.
First, this painting event is totally donation based. If you are having financial hardship, please join in for free. If you want to make a donation, that would be great too as the studio is closed right now.
Second, we will be teaching this party using acrylic paints on a canvas. If you don’t have these supplies or don’t want to pick up a supply kit from the studio, you are encouraged to join in anyway and make the painting on paper with crayons, markers, pastels, watercolors - using whatever you have at home.
Everyone is welcome to use whatever supplies that you have at home. We are offering an optional supply kit though that can be picked up at the studio (from our outside storage bench).
The kit includes the following items and is $10.
pre-drawn 12 x 12 canvas (you may also have it blank)
paint pots of acrylic paint colors used in painting
2 paint brushes
empty cup for water
paper towels
You may also just purchase the 12 x 12’ canvas for $5.
This party will be taking place on Zoom and you will need to download the program on your computer. After you register for the painting party, you will be sent an email with instructions and details both about Zoom and about what you can do to prep for the party.
I miss having everyone at the studio so much and am looking forward to interacting with you this Saturday (and hopefully with more to come).
